This life-sized sculpture draws inspiration from the graceful peacocks I have observed at a local wildlife park. After photographing them, I meticulously studied their features in my studio to capture their elegance and natural beauty. The piece could be displayed on a marble or granite base or displayed on a table or wooden pedistal/plinth , grounding the vibrant energy of the bird in a serene and timeless setting. Through a harmonious blend of color and texture, an abstract yet recognizable interpretation of the peacock has been created, focusing on the vivid hues and flowing forms of its stunning plumage. The peacock’s restful pose, perched calmly on a stone or table, evokes a sense of tranquility, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the peace and stillness of this majestic creature.

My life-sized Flamingo sculpture draws inspiration from visits to the Doñana National Park, where I’ve had the privilege of observing and photographing the vibrant flamingo populations. With smooth, flowing lines and a refined, traditional patina, this piece offers an abstract yet graceful interpretation of the elegant bird. Its striking form would complement the expansive beauty of a garden or courtyard, while also making a bold statement as an indoor centerpiece.

Red Deer Fawn draws inspiration from my time spent in the Doñana National Park. This piece is part of a larger composition featuring the Red Deer Doe, depicted as the protective mother of the fawn. The mother gently lowers her head toward her baby, perhaps sensing a moment of concern, while the fawn peacefully rests in the safety of the grass, shielded by the presence of its mother. This composition strives to capture the bond between mother and offspring, set against the tranquil beauty of the natural world.

This sculpture draws inspiration from the Doñana National Park, located not far from a house I have in the south of Spain. Over time, I have spent time in the park, observing and photographing its rich wildlife. This piece is part of an ongoing exhibition dedicated to the diverse creatures of Doñana. Specifically, it represents a head study I created as a precursor to a life-size sculpture of the endangered Iberian lynx, which I am currently working on. Through this work, I aim to capture the beauty of the park’s remarkable wildlife.

My Hare and Tortoise sculpture is a fusion of personal observation and the traditional tale of the Hare and Tortoise. Inspired by the hares and rabbits I encountered in the Doñana National Park, as well as the classic fable of the Hare and the Tortoise, this piece captures the essence of both creatures in a moment of playful tension. The hare, confident in his speed, rests lazily in the grass, unaware that the determined tortoise is steadily closing in. With smooth, flowing lines and a contemporary patina, I’ve created a slightly abstract yet dynamic interpretation of the animals, emphasizing both their contrasting natures and the underlying narrative of the fable. It was originally a comission for the gardens of an English stately home.

My Feruginous Duck sculpture was inspired by time spent observing wildlife in the Doñana National Park, a habitat home to the feruginous duck. A carefully chosen patina has been incorporated, with subtle color variations that mirror the vibrant hues of the bird’s plumage. The sculpture’s clean, flowing lines offer an abstract yet harmonious interpretation of its form, capturing the essence of this beautiful creature in a way that balances realism and artistic abstraction.

This sculpture was inspired by time spent in the Doñana National Park, just a short distance from where I have a house in the south of Spain. Drawing from the park’s natural beauty, I’ve used texture and a traditional patina to evoke the movement of water and the softness of the otter’s fur. The otter is depicted floating on its back, savoring the fish it has just caught, encapsulating the peaceful harmony of life within the park.

This captivating sculpture presents an abstract interpretation of a fox in repose, its form gently curled as it rests in serene tranquility. Through the use of minimalistic lines, its grace and peaceful nature are captured in a fluid, contemporary style. The subtle variations in the patina create a dynamic play of light and shadow across the surface, adding depth and texture to the piece. The restrained use of form and tone invites the viewer to reflect on the quiet beauty of stillness and the elegance found in simplicity.
